Beat Saber Tops PS VR2 Sales in July
Beat Saber Leads Despite No PlayStation Support
Beat Saber was the top-selling game on PlayStation VR2 in July 2025, even though it no longer gets PlayStation support. Sony shared its monthly download charts, showing the best-performing games for PS4, PS5, PS VR2, and free-to-play titles in Europe and North America. Beat Saber climbed back to #1 after being in the top three in both regions last month, beating out Skydance's Behemoth.
Sales Stay Strong After Support Ends
Meta recently announced that Beat Saber will stop getting PlayStation support, but this hasn’t hurt its sales much. The game and its DLC will still be available for PSVR and PS VR2, but no new DLC will come out. Multiplayer for both headsets will also end on January 21, 2026.
Other Games Perform Well
Other games did well too. GORN 2, a brutal gladiator sequel, hit #2 in North America and #7 in Europe in its first month. Arken Age grabbed #3 in North America thanks to a 40% discount. Familiar titles like Alien: Rogue Incursion, Metro Awakening, Among Us 3D, and Jurassic World Aftermath Collection also made the charts.
July Charts and Exclusions
You can see the full July 2025 PS VR2 download charts here: PlayStation VR2 Charts. Games like Bridge Constructor Studio and Cyan’s Firmament aren’t included since they only have optional PS VR2 support. New games like Cave Crave, Space Drop, and Chess Club didn’t make the charts in their debut month.
What’s Coming in August
August 2025 has fewer new PS VR2 games. Grit and Valor: 1949, a dieselpunk tactics game by nDreams and Milky Tea, is the biggest release, followed by the co-op action game Into Black a week later.
